Like all other elementary schools in Burnaby, Ecole Aubrey has the “safe arrival program”. This means that if a child is marked absent, but the office has not received a telephone call or an email from the caregivers advising of the absence/tardiness, a phone call home or email will be made to ensure the child is safe.

Attendance emails can be sent to the office by emailing Aubrey.Info@burnabyschools.ca

Please include the following details:

– Child(ren)’s Name(s)
– Teacher/Division
– Dates of the absence and/or the expected time of late arrival
– Reason for Absence

It is important to report your student’s absence to the office, either through email or on the phone at 604-296-9001 ext 2.

Please call or email the office and leave a message on the absence line, even if you have already advised the teacher, so that we do not bother you at home/work.

To help families plan ahead, here are the ordering deadlines for each month:

• • • September ordering deadline — September 18
    • October ordering deadline — September 30
    • November ordering deadline — October 28, 2026
    • December ordering deadline – November 25, 2026

IMPORTANT – In case your child will be away on Hot lunch day, please email the Hot Lunch team before 10:30am (aubreypac.hotlunch@gmail.com) and NOT the teacher. Your child’s food will be held at the PAC KITCHEN for pick up. We kindly ask that if you would like the food to go to a sibling or another student in a different class that they be asked to pick up the food at the PAC KITCHEN. Food will not be sent to another classroom as this helps to reduce distribution errors as well as helps streamline distribution for the teachers.

Welcome to the 2026/2027 school year!

School starts on Tuesday September 8th, 2026 for students in Grades 1 to 7.

• All Grades 1–7 students will attend for one hour only, from 9:00–10:00 am.

Kindergarten students will begin on Wednesday, September 9 and follow the gradual entry schedule below.

Detailed information regarding back to school will be emailed to families later this week. Please be on the lookout!

Families may notice that the direct link included in the email sent on Thursday, March 11th to access Learning Updates may not be working properly. If you are experiencing difficulty, please refer back to the email that was sent to families and use the portal link below to log in directly.

Trouble Accessing Your Account?  

• Forgot your Login ID? Click “Trouble logging in?” and select “Retrieve your Login ID.” Enter the email address registered with the school and your Login ID will be sent to that email.
• Password expired: If you receive a message stating that your password has expired, follow the on-screen instructions to create a new one.
• Password recovery: Enter your Login ID email address and answer a security question. This will allow you to reset your password in the future by clicking “I forgot my password.” The system will email you a link to reset it.
