Fraser Health is pleased to provide elementary schools with a list of dental resources available for the 2026/2027 school year.

The dental program staff may be able to assist families having difficulty accessing dental treatment. This includes urgent care or regular dental care. A referral form is not required if a parent or guardian prefers to contact the dental program directly (see contact information on the Referral Form).

Many families do not have private dental insurance but may qualify for one of the following programs:

• Healthy Kids Program – Children under 19 years of age may be eligible for basic dental services.DENTAL PROGRAM REFERRAL FOR SCHOOLS Nov 2023
• Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) – Families who do not have access to private dental insurance may be eligible for dental coverage.
• UBC Dentistry – Offers a free dental program for children 12 years of age and younger. Please see the attached application form for more information.
• Affordable dentistry options for children – Fraser Health Authority – Fraser Health Authority

The team practices will be during our lunch hour on Monday (girls) and Tuesday (boys) from 12:20 – 12:49 pm each week. In addition to lunchtime practices, your child will be travelling to neighbouring schools to play league games!  These games are an excellent opportunity for players to practice their volleyball skills in addition to continuing to develop their sportsmanship, communication skills, respect for others during game play, and have fun.  During practices and games, all players are expected to attend with proper P.E. strip, runners, and a positive attitude 😊

Please arrive at each game by 4pm to pick up your child (or arrange a ride for them).

Like all other elementary schools in Burnaby, Ecole Aubrey has the “safe arrival program”. This means that if a child is marked absent, but the office has not received a telephone call or an email from the caregivers advising of the absence/tardiness, a phone call home or email will be made to ensure the child is safe.

Attendance emails can be sent to the office by emailing Aubrey.Info@burnabyschools.ca

Please include the following details:

– Child(ren)’s Name(s)
– Teacher/Division
– Dates of the absence and/or the expected time of late arrival
– Reason for Absence

It is important to report your student’s absence to the office, either through email or on the phone at 604-296-9001 ext 2.

Please call or email the office and leave a message on the absence line, even if you have already advised the teacher, so that we do not bother you at home/work.

To help families plan ahead, here are the ordering deadlines for each month:

IMPORTANT – In case your child will be away on Hot lunch day, please email the Hot Lunch team before 10:30am (aubreypac.hotlunch@gmail.com) and NOT the teacher. Your child’s food will be held at the PAC KITCHEN for pick up. We kindly ask that if you would like the food to go to a sibling or another student in a different class that they be asked to pick up the food at the PAC KITCHEN. Food will not be sent to another classroom as this helps to reduce distribution errors as well as helps streamline distribution for the teachers.

Welcome to the 2026/2027 school year!

School starts on Tuesday September 8th, 2026 for students in Grades 1 to 7.

• All Grades 1–7 students will attend for one hour only, from 9:00–10:00 am.

Kindergarten students will begin on Wednesday, September 9 and follow the gradual entry schedule below.
